We Care is our ongoing non-profit charity that raises money to provide warm, winter clothing for the children in Scott County through an auction that takes place the first weekend of December. I105.3 Radio Station Provides the on-air time and talent, to produce this 30-hour straight coverage and hosting of the We Care auction.

Since 1990, We Care has raised over 1.5 Million dollars and clothed countless children in need of extra care. To find out more if your child qualifies for We Care benefits, please contact your child’s teacher or principal (for Scott County School District only).

It takes hundreds of staff, volunteers, and of course, donations to make We Care possible. Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Donate items to the We Care Auction
2. Volunteer your time to help support the auction 
3. Listen in during the auction and knock off some of your Christmas shopping while also helping the children in Scott County

American Legion Post 234 Cookout

The Son’s of the American Legion is having a We Care Cookout in Memory of Ray Rice August 19th starting at 1 pm at the American Legion Post 234 located at 1150 S Main St in Scottsburg. All donations collected will go to the We Care 2023 campaign for the children of Scott County. 

10th Annual We Care Fish Fry

Saturday September 9th from 2pm – 6 pm Koorsen Fire & Security will be holding their 10th Annual We Care Fish Fry located at 1984 N Blocher Railroad St. Menu will include Fish, Chicken, French Fries, Onion Rings, Cole Slaw Hush Puppies. Dinners include Fries/Onion Rings, Cole Slaw and a Drink. Cost is $12.

23rd Annual We Care Golf Scramble

By being a hole sponsor at our annual golf outing. Your tax deductible donation of $100 per hole with 100% of the proceeds going to WE CARE. You can help buy warm clothing for needy children this winter. Sunday September 10, 2023.
